Itinerary

It’s the welcome day. You’re going to meet the BKRS crew, set up the gravel bikes, go out for a quick sunset test ride and get ready for the first day of riding in a chill and comfortable environment at Finca la Florida. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a good rest.

Breakfast at the hotel, a quick shuttle to Teguise, and we start riding a nice loop in the north of Lanzarote, mixing gravel and backroads with stunning views. We’ll take a coffee break on the beach in Orzola before tackling the second half of the loop, which includes good climbs and unreal landscapes over la Graciosa island. Afterwards, we’ll return to the hotel to relax for the remainder of the day and refuel body and mind. 80 km 1500 m+

After the breakfast at the hotel, we’ll get ready for a full gravel loop, starting the ride towards Famara and enjoying stunning views of the Risco and the coastal path. We’ll take a coffee break in La Santa and finish the loop back at the hotel, where we’ll relax, have a wine tasting on a local Bodega before dinner, and rest. 55 km 635 m+

Today we’re going to cross the channel. After the breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Finca la Florida and start riding towards Timanfaya National Park, crossing this iconic and breathtaking place on the way to Playa Blanca. A 30-minutes ferry ride will bring us to Fuerteventura, after a bit of chiling in Corralejo, we will keep riding the east coast crossing the Dunes of Corralejo on the way to the Hotel Mahoh for an amazing welcome dinner and rest. 70 km 700 m+

After a breakfast at the hotel, we’ll get ready for another full gravel loop, going downhill to Lajares where we have our BKRS Spot. We’ll keep riding between magical volcanoes, the north shore, and an amazing coastal path on the west part of Fuerteventura. We’ll close the loop again between volcanoes and arid land. We’ll enjoy a relaxed afternoon, visiting an Aloe Center in La Oliva before dinner and rest at the rural hotel. 68 km 575 m+

Today we’re going to say goodbye to Mahoh after a delicious breakfast and start the most adventurous day of the experience. We’ll head south, mixing gravel and asphalt roads, and take a break in the wonderful and historical Betancuria. We’ll cross an iconic valley on the way to Ajuy, where we’ll enjoy the sunset on the beach, have dinner in a typical local restaurant, and set up the bivouac to spend the night outdoors under the stars in an oasis inside a canyon. 51 km 876 m+

Wake up at sunrise, we’ll have a coffee and start riding while watching the sunrise over the volcanoes on the way to Pajara for breakfast. We’ll continue south on a stunning road with breathtaking views of the deep southwest corner of Fuerteventura. We’ll cross to the east coast to ride the final gravel road to Sotavento Lagoon and close this epic journey at the main resort Hotel Meliá which hosts one of the most important wind sports events in the world. In the afternoon, if you still have energy for an extra ride, Ludo will take you to Cofete and back. If you prefer to stay at the hotel, Rob will give you an introduction to kitesurfing, flying a trainer kite on the lagoon. 64 km 555 m+

The good bay day. A relaxed day to enjoy the beach, reflect on an amazing week of riding gravel bikes and island life. Take your time to pack your things before heading to the airport.
